Personal data on RegiLens

As of 5 October 2026

This is an English translation for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding: Personendaten (Deutsch).

You are entered in a company register as a managing director, shareholder, authorised signatory (Prokurist) or in another role? Then RegiLens may show information about you. This page explains where it comes from, why we show it, for how long – and how you can object or have something corrected (information under Art. 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, German: DSGVO)).

In short: We only show what the registers themselves make public, and less of it: date of birth only as month and year, no private address, person pages are not in search engines. You can object at any time.

Who is responsible

schantastic e.U. (owner Julian Schanta), Mattersburger Straße 26, 7000 Eisenstadt, Austria, contact@schantastic.com.

Where the data comes from

From official company registers and open data that publish this information themselves – for example the Firmenbuch (Austria), Handelsregister (Germany), Companies House (United Kingdom), Brønnøysundregistrene (Norway), the Finnish Patent and Registration Office PRH (Finland), the Registres (France) and GLEIF. The source of each item is shown next to every value in the company profile; all sources with their licences are listed under Sources & licences.

Which data

  • Name (as in the register), in some registers also academic titles
  • Role in the company, start and end, type of representation, shareholding and share
  • Date of birth – publicly only month and year
  • Place of residence – only where the register itself publishes it (Germany)
  • for Companies House: nationality and country of residence, as published there
  • Connections resulting from this (other companies with the same person)

No private addresses, no ID or tax numbers, no data from sources other than the registers and open data. We do not rate people: score and signals exist only for companies, and we do not show them for sole traders.

Purpose and legal basis

The purpose is transparency in business: who represents a company and who owns it. That is the reason the registers publish this information. The legal basis is our legitimate interest and that of our users (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): checking business partners, recognising interconnections, assessing risks. We protect your interests as follows:

  • only information the register itself makes public, and less of it (see above),
  • person pages are blocked for search engines (noindex) and are not in any sitemap,
  • automated bulk extraction is technically limited and prohibited,
  • anyone who has not held an active role in any register for more than 10 years is hidden from public view,
  • a simple way to object and request corrections, handled within one month.

Who sees the data

All visitors to the website. Hosting and database providers process it technically on our behalf (see the privacy policy). We do not sell data.

For how long

As long as the register publishes the information. If your role ends, we show it as a former role – just as the register does. If you have not held an active role for more than 10 years, company profiles only show your name and role; the person page, search and network no longer show you.

Your rights

  • Objection (Art. 21 GDPR): After an objection, we block your information. Company profiles then only show your name and role as published by the register – without a link, date of birth or place of residence. There is no longer a person page, and you do not appear in search, suggestions, network, connection finder, export or the Claude connector.
  • Rectification (Art. 16): If an item was taken over incorrectly or assigned to the wrong person, we correct it. If the error is in the register itself, only the register can change it – we tell you where.
  • Erasure (Art. 17) and access (Art. 15): We tell you what we hold about you and delete what we may no longer show.
  • Complaint to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), www.dsb.gv.at.

How to object

  1. Fill in the objection and correction form – no account needed. Ideally include the link to your person page or to the company.
  2. Click the link in the confirmation email. Only then do we process the request.
  3. We review it and reply by email within one month.

Or by email to contact@schantastic.com.
